Social media content about addiction – group work

The participants of the project had to divide into four groups, each of which had to choose the main topic of their work and then design content on that topic for social media. One of the groups chose the topic of addiction – in this case, addiction to social media. hey designed 7 posts that can be added to platforms such as Instagram or Facebook. They can also be used for stories on these platforms. Each of the posts focuses on the theme of addiction – they are mainly informative posts. This way, the audience will be able to learn more about the topic. The illustrations contain key words intended to intrigue the audience into reading the description below the post, where more specific information will be provided. The campaign aims to raise awareness among the audience that social media addiction exists and to show ways to cope with this problem.

Below you can find some information about social media addiction.

Social media addiction is a state in which an individual loses control over their use of social media platforms, leading to harmful consequences for mental and emotional health. In this context, fluctuations in dopamine levels, a neurotransmitter associated with reward and pleasure, play a significant role. Regular use of social media can lead to excessive dopamine production, which in turn leads to addiction. Symptoms of social media addiction include obsessively checking notifications, inability to detach from the screen, and lowered self-esteem associated with comparing oneself to others. The effects of addiction can be far-reaching, including mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, sleep disturbances, lack of concentration, and decreased productivity. To break the cycle of social media addiction, it is important to establish healthy boundaries, such as limiting screen time, mindful use of social media, and seeking alternative ways to spend time that promote direct social interactions and physical activity.

Below you will find some information about feminism.

What is feminism?

Feminism is a social movement and ideology striving for gender equality in all aspects of life, including political, economic, and social realms. It is perceived diversely: for many, it represents a crucial step towards social justice, while others may misinterpret it as a pursuit of female dominance over males. Feminism is important because it combats systemic inequalities and discrimination that still affect women worldwide. It promotes equal pay for equal work, equal educational opportunities, and the prevention of violence against women. The movement also seeks to acknowledge the diversity of experiences, recognizing how gender intersects with other identities such as race or sexual orientation. Through feminism, societies become more aware of the need for equality and justice, leading to the creation of more inclusive and fair social structures.

5 DAY –> Summary and Parting: The Last Day of Our Training

And so the day we had all been waiting for came – the last day of our intensive training. This day was intended to summarize our activities and work. The trainer, as the guide of our design journey, stood before us once again to extract the last pearls from our educational chest.
At the very beginning, we focused on how to implement the acquired knowledge in the future. This is an important question because the aim of the training was not only to provide theoretical tools, but also to equip us with practical skills that we will be able to use in our organizations on a daily basis. It was our chance to understand how these special days will contribute to our further development.
After lunch, it was time for Youthpass certificate activities. It was a moment of reflection on our work and a chance to document our achievements. Each participant had the opportunity to calmly reflect on the competences we developed during this project.
Finally, we also discussed the evaluation and future dissemination of the project. We considered the role of partners in the subsequent stages of the project, which allowed us to understand what opportunities lie in our further cooperation.
It was not only a moment to officially say goodbye, but also to discuss the upcoming project, which was already tempting us with its potential. It was the end of our educational adventure, but also the beginning of new challenges and opportunities.

4 DAY –> Halfway point of our Design Journey:

In the blink of an eye it turned out that this was already half of our training! That morning, participants returned to their groups, ready to continue working on the projects they had started the day before.
Our path was opened by the trainer’s repeated reminder of the task assumptions. This was a key moment where we once again defined goals and priorities for each part of the creative process. This action allowed us to keep our work on track and optimize our activities.
We spent the entire morning finishing and perfecting our projects. We carefully polished the details, taking care of every aspect of our work.
After lunch, it was time for the most awaited moment – presentations of works. Each group had 45 minutes to thoroughly discuss their project. During the presentation, participants explained what assumptions guided their work and how they turned these ideas into reality. After each presentation, there were heated discussions and questions from other participants. This was extremely valuable because it allowed us to hear different perspectives and gain valuable opinions.
At the end of the day, it was time to sum up. The coach shared some inspiring words and we had a moment to reflect on everything we had achieved over the past few days. It was a day full of commitment and intense work that brought us to the point where we were ready for the next challenges.

3 DAY –> Creative Work in the Full Sun of Knowledge

From the very morning we started our work with passion and commitment. The participants were presented with the main practical task to be performed along with its goals and assumptions.
The next step was to divide into four groups, where each group had to choose the main topic of their work and then design content for it on social media. The topics that have been selected are:

  • Feminism,
  • Addiction,
  • and two groups chose Bullying.

This day was a time when participants had the opportunity to fully use their theoretical knowledge from the previous days and transform it into practical, concrete solutions. Everything was done under the watchful eye of our experienced trainer, who both controlled the time and provided valuable tips.

The creative process was intense and required full commitment. Each group worked on its own project, trying to use the acquired knowledge to the maximum. The trainer was present at every stage, supporting the groups and directing them to the right path. He reminded about useful tools and methods, helping participants overcome possible difficulties.
After hours devoted to creative work, it was time for a well-deserved lunch break. It was an opportunity to regenerate and share observations with other participants. After a short rest, everyone returned to the room, ready to continue working.
Day three was undoubtedly intense and demanding, but also full of inspiration and learning opportunities. Our participants showed that they are ready to face design challenges and make the most of them.
, where representatives of each country had the opportunity to talk a little about their country, traditions and history. They also had the opportunity to taste delicious drinks and delicacies from their countries.

At the very end of the day, we managed to organize a cultural evening. During this event, representatives of each country had the opportunity to talk about their homeland, sharing not only history, but also fascinating traditions. It was an opportunity to get closer to each other and better understand the diversity of our cultures.
The evening was also a culinary feast. The participants shared their delicacies and drinks, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the wealth of flavors and aromas hidden in their cuisines. It was a real treat.

2 DAY –> Deep River of Knowledge and Cultural Discoveries

The next day of our design adventure began with a fascinating meeting with our trainer and discussion of the plan for the entire training. It was a moment when we focused on theory, on how to design consistently and coherently – a key skill in today’s design world. This day was to prepare us for the practical challenges that awaited us in the following days of the project.
During this day, we immersed ourselves in the depths of design theory. We considered issues such as the psychology of colors and colors, contrast, readability, as well as how to arrange information on the website to make it as attractive as possible to the recipients. We discussed the basics of composition, the selection of content and the issue of accessibility, especially for people who have impaired vision, such as colorblind people or people with color vision disorders.
It is worth noting that not only theoretical concepts were important – we also discussed tools and methods that facilitate design. We wanted our participants not only to understand the theory, but also to be able to apply it in practice.

After a short break, we moved on to case studies to test our knowledge in practice. It was a very interesting part of the day, during which participants shared their opinions and participated in heated discussions about various projects. It was an excellent opportunity to obtain information about the reception and feelings of other people about the same project and to exchange experiences. The theoretical day ended with quizzes, which not only consolidated the participants’ knowledge, but also provided a lot of fun.
In the afternoon, it’s time for a dose of culture. We went on an introductory walk around the charming corners of Opole, and finally reached the Piast tower. While climbing, participants could not only admire the picturesque view and panorama of the city, but also learned many interesting facts about the history of this place and Opole itself. It was a true combination of learning and pleasure.
At the end of an intense day, it was time for dinner. It was not only an opportunity to enjoy local flavors, but also a perfect moment to strengthen newly established bonds and friendships. Tomorrow we had another day full of work and practice, so it was worth gathering energy and motivating ourselves for the upcoming challenges.

1 DAY -> Beginning of the Adventure: Day One of Training in Opole

Opole, a picturesque city, stood in the front row as the host of the first day of our fascinating “Design me” – 2022-3-PL01-KA153-YOU-000102877 training. It is here, at the crossroads of many cultures and ideas, that participants from various partner organizations from around the world have gathered, ready to begin this unique journey. We have an organization on board:

  • AIAYA – Turkey,
  • CHAMPIONS FACTORY – Bulgaria,
  • ProQvi – Sweden,
  • Sistema Turismo – Italy,
  • Toulouse Youth Network – France,
  • SPPMD – North Macedonia.

The first day is always a special time, full of uncertainty, but also full of potential. This is the day when all participants have to get to know each other and break the ice. This is how we started our adventure, greeting everyone warmly and with a smile on our faces.
Everyone gathered had the opportunity to learn more about the project’s goals, training plan and accommodation regulations. It is important that each participant has a full understanding of what awaits them during these intense days.
But we have not forgotten that, apart from the formal aspects, it is also important to establish closer relationships. So we organized games and activities that not only helped us get to know each other, but also relaxed the atmosphere and introduced an element of fun to our meetings.
Another important point of the day was the presentation of all partner organizations. Each of these groups had the opportunity to share their goals, mission and vision of functioning. This is the moment when we understood how diverse and inspiring the ideas and goals of different organizations can be. What unites us is a passion for design and the pursuit of creating innovative solutions.
We have also not forgotten about important issues such as evaluation and tools that we will use during our joint work. Thanks to this, we are sure that our work will be carefully monitored and assessed, which will allow us to constantly improve our skills.
After a whole day of intense meetings and exchange of impressions, it was time for a well-deserved rest. This is a moment when we could relax, establish even deeper contacts and recharge our batteries for the next days of our fascinating “Design me” training.
